DIY: Tortoise and Turquoise Sole Society “Smythe” Sunglasses

Glitter N Glue DIY Color Block Sunglasses Sole SocietyTortoise print and turquoise is one of my favorite combos. The second my Sole Society Smythe sunglasses (available here) arrived I knew I wanted to enhance them with a splash of turquoise. MyΒ absolute favorite shad of turquoise is Essie’sΒ Turquoise & Caicos. Although I’ve seen this project floating around the internet where people have used the nail polish as paint, the truth is I’m almost 30 now and can’t consume the smell of nail polish the way I use to! I substituted the nail polish for Martha Stewart’s Beach Glass colored paint, but the results were just as fab!

I’m heading to Palm Springs this weekend to participate in a few Coachella festivities. The Coachella music festival seems to be the official Summer kick off here in LA. Yes, with 90 degree weather we’re skipping Spring out here and headed straight for Summer! It’s time to update my Summer shades collection with a few inexpensive, yet fun designs I’m adding to my wishlist.

DIY: Embellished Sunglasses

Embellished sunglasses. Enough said.

I fell in love with the Dsquared2 embellished shades (here) the second I saw them. I even obsessed (in a “good girl gone bad” kinda way) over the Mercura glassesΒ Rihanna wore during her London BBC Radio 1 Summer concert (here). Embellished sunglasses have become my new thing, honey!

I could resist adding a little razzle dazzle to my H&M sunnies. So chic and so easy…
