Video: DIY Personalized Letterman Jacket

The “college prep” look is a popular trend for Fall. I’ve been coveting a personalized letterman jacket (a la Karl Lagerfeld) for over a year now… looks like it’s time to pull out the glue and make my own! DIY: Repurposed Vintage Sequin Top

Glitter N Glue DIY Vintage Sequin JacketOnce upon a time, in a land far away… I repurposed one of my favorite vintage sequin tops. Seriously it seems like many, many lifetimes ago but back in 2010 when my blog was about 3 days old (no lie) I partnered with MadisonPlus.com and reworked a sequin top.

I had purchased a really glam black and gold sequin top from my local vintage store with the intention of working it into my wardrobe, but how often do we purchase a statement piece and NEVER wear it?!? After letting the top hang in my closet for a few months, I figured if removed the zipper from the back, add a front closure and transform this top it into a jacket I might get some wear out of it. What I fantastic idea that was! My sequin top is now one of my favorite jackets. I wear as an accent piece over my LBDs or I mix it up by pairing it with boyfriend jeans and a printed tank.

DIY: Jeweled Camo Jacket

Military is a big trend this season and a great way to work it into your wardrobe is to sport a camouflage jacket. Since it’s finally jacket weather here in LA, I decided it was time to add a little glam to my Army surplus jacket and debut it as part of my Fall wardrobe.

Materials: Camo Jacket (available at your local Army surplus store), Jeweled Appliques, Glue
