It’s here! Say hello to New York Fashion Week! If you follow any fashion blogger or designer on social media then you already knew that. Normally this time of year I’d be packing my bags and heading from LA to NYC for a week jam-packed of fashionable and fun events, but unfortunately this year I’ll be sitting out the festivities. WHAT?!?!? I KNOOOOOOW! Trust me… I’m sad. This is the first year since 2009 (when I was an overworked/ underpaid fashion PR assistant) that I haven’t attended the September shows. Other work commitments have kept me here on the West Coast. I’ve come to terms with the fact that I’ll be missing out and have devised a well thought out list of Instaglammers to follow during #NYFW in order to ease our fears of missing out (FOMO). Below is a list to heavy hitters that are sure to have the Fashion Week scoop. Follow them for a good time!

If you’ve read then you know I’m not at all excited by Halloween. I rarely dress up in costume. Seriously, the best I can do is a DIY glitter sweatshirt (here). But all hail Queen B because this week she posted an Instagram pic that inspired this years Halloween costume. Beyonce posted the Instagram selfie to end all selfies (see here). Hello inspiration… #DIY #Halloween #Costume #iGottaMakeOne #Party #CrazyInLove #BowDown
Yesterday I posed a question on Facebook/Twitter to see if you guys would be buying or DIYing your Holiday gifts. Many of you responded with a combination of the both so I figured I’d give you a few non-DIY, but still glitzy and creative gift idea.
With the help of such apps like Instagram I think I’m a real photog (…my photographer friend Vince just rolled his eyes) and if you’re anything like me you’ve taken hundreds of images of your friends and family over the past year. Here are a few creative ways to use those photos to personalize gifts. Who doesn’t love a personalized gift with their photo on it?
Friends, please act surprise when you open my gift… it’s photo puzzle of my face :-)
